Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DroidOS software and related services provided by KatsuyaMaki LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing, downloading, or using DroidOS, you agree to these Terms. For paid DroidOS Pro binaries, the End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies: DroidOS Pro EULA.

1. Products and Services

DroidOS is an Android productivity suite consisting of two companion apps: DroidOS Launcher and DroidOS Keyboard Trackpad. The software is available in the following tiers:

• Community (Free): Available on F-Droid and GitHub. Includes core launcher and keyboard functionality.
• Paid Modules: Individual feature modules available for one-time purchase. Modules unlock additional capabilities within the Community app.
• Pro License: Available as an annual subscription or lifetime one-time purchase. Unlocks all current and future paid modules.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase of a paid module or Pro license, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the purchased features on up to three (3) personal devices. You may not sublicense, resell, or redistribute the software or any license keys.

3. Payments and Billing

All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all billing, sales tax, VAT, and payment processing on our behalf. By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

• Pro Annual: Billed annually. Renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Pro Lifetime: One-time payment. No recurring charges.
• Paid Modules: One-time payment per module. No recurring charges.

Prices are listed in USD, may vary by region due to purchasing power parity adjustments applied by Paddle, and are subject to change. Current pricing is available on our pricing page. Applicable taxes are calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout.

4. Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied, you may request a refund under the following conditions:

• Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.
• To request a refund, contact us at KatsuyaMakiLLC@gmail.com with your order number and reason for the request.
• Refunds are processed through Paddle and will be returned to your original payment method.
• Upon refund, your license will be deactivated and access to paid features will be revoked.

We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear to be abusive or fraudulent.

5. License Activation and Device Limits

• Paid features are activated using a license key provided after purchase.
• Each license may be activated on up to three (3) devices.
• You may deactivate a device to free up a slot for a new device.
• An offline grace period of 14 days is provided. If your device cannot verify the license within 14 days, paid features will be temporarily locked until connectivity is restored.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share, distribute, or publicly post your license key.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any license verification mechanisms.
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose.
• Redistribute or resell the software or any modified version of it as a competing product.

7. Intellectual Property

DroidOS and all associated intellectual property are owned by KatsuyaMaki LLC. The Community version source code is available under the terms specified in each distribution channel's license file (GPL v3 for F-Droid; in public GitHub: GPL v3 through tag foss-final (v4.0), then FSL 1.1 after foss-final). Paid modules and Pro features are proprietary.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

DroidOS is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices and Android versions. Some features require specific device capabilities (such as Shizuku, accessibility services, or developer options) that may vary by device manufacturer and Android version.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KatsuyaMaki LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of DroidOS, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or device issues.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to paid features will be revoked. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of paid features after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
